Research

As part of a group of researchers working on an EPSRC funded project (Grant EP/C511824/1) I studied the impact of interactive global illumination on presence in virtual environments. We also investigated opportunities to further our previous research on global illumination.

Before this, I was on the Virtual Light Field project (EPSRC Grant GR/R13685/01) working on a new approach to global illumination for polygonal scenes with arbitrary materials. Apart from work on global illumination, part of the VLF approach has been extended and adapted for fast ray-tracing. This approach (VLF-RT) has also been extended to deal with scenes containing structured and unstructured dynamics.
