Nikolaos Pitelis (Nikos Pitelis)
- About
Currently, I am a PhD student, member of the Vision and Imaging Science Group, at the Department of Computer Science, at University College London. I work on the ERC HUMANIS project under the supervision of Lourdes Agapito and Chris Russell. I started my PhD at the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science, at Queen Mary, University of London.
Previously, I obtained MSc and BSc in Informatics, Digital Media, at the AIIA Laboratory, Department of Informatics, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, completing my theses under the supervision of Anastasios Tefas and Constantine Kotropoulos, respectively.
My research interests include Machine Learning and Computer Vision. My current research focuses on Manifold Learning with applications in Face Recognition and 3D Reconstruction, as well as Semi-Supervised Learning approaches for large scale datasets.
