Below follows a day-by-day calendar for the class, including reading assignments, one-pager questions, and the schedule for student presentations (filled in once students have selected papers to present). Lecture notes will be posted immediately after each lecture.
Class meetings consist largely of discussions of research papers. They are designed under the assumption that students have already read the assigned papers (which also will have been necessary to answer the one-pager assigned with each paper). If you do not read the papers that appear on a day of the calendar before that day's lecture, you are likely to have difficulty following the lecture and discussion.
Each day on the calendar includes a link to a question about a reading assigned for that day. Students must write a short 200- to 500-word answer to the question, and must turn in this one-pager at the start of the lecture on the day the question appears on the calendar.
