You can send commands and messages by email. Before doing this
please read the user documentation. There is also a reference card
for users, which you may find helpful. To receive a list of what
documentation available via email please send the command "info"
(without the quotes)to jiscmail@JISCMAIL.AC.UK

NB. Commands sent to JISCmail MUST be sent to jiscmail@JISCMAIL.AC.UK
To send an email to the mailing list for distribution to other members,
email MB-NG@JISCMAIL.AC.UK.

Following instructions from the list owner, your membership options
have been set to "NOACK REPRO" rather than the usual JISCmail
defaults. For more information about membership options, send a
"QUERY MB-NG" command to jiscmail@JISCMAIL.AC.UK.
Contributions sent to this list are automatically archived. You
can get a list of the available archive files by sending an "INDEX
MB-NG" command to jiscmail@JISCMAIL.AC.UK.
You can then order these files with a "GET MB-NG LOGxxxx"
command, or using JISCmail's database search facilities. Send an
"INFO DATABASE" command for more information on the latter.
This list is available in digest form. If you wish to receive the
digested version of the postings, just issue a SET MB-NG DIGEST
command.
This list is marked confidential so that it's existence is not
publicised openly by JISCmail, thereby reducing the possibility
of spamming. Please note that the "GIVE" command is automatically
disabled for all archive files.
Please note that it is presently possible for other people to determine
that you are a member of the JISCmail list through the use of the
"REVIEW" command, which returns the email address and
name of all the members. If you do not want your name to be visible,
just issue a "SET MB-NG CONCEAL" command. More information
on JISCmail commands can be found in the JISCmail reference card,
which you can retrieve by sending an "INFO REFCARD" command
to jiscmail@JISCMAIL.AC.UK.
