Introduction to Business Net

Welcome. Bienvenue. Wilkommen ...

The Networks of Excellence Business Net has been created by RENOIR for the European Networks of Excellence programme.

The purpose of Business Net is to provide an easily accessible resource for researchers who see a business opportunity in their research and want to exploit it. The pages therefore contain references to basic business books and journals and links to organisations which themselves assist business start-ups. At the same time, we hope the Business Net and its associated newsletter "The RENOIR Inquirer" will be useful to researchers and practitioners in already established businesses. In the Inquirer we hope to introduce aspiring entrepreneurs to the world of business, to familiarise you with its language and to convey the excitement and challenge that is business.

Do take care. Remember to remain critical of what you read, think things through and don't be seduced by fashion. At all times be aware that business is a very responsible undertaking which can go wrong with grave consequences for yourself and other people. With that serious warning:

ENJOY!
