Mark' s ZX Spectrum Game

In 1982 I wrote a computer game for the Sinclair ZX Spectrum. It is a very simple Sword Fight simulation, not very exciting by today's standards, but in those days, being self-taught, I didn't even know what an assembler was, so I created the program by 'poking' HEX codes into the memory, using a Hexadecimal Loader.

In fact there is an emulator that will allow you to play the game on the web if you want to see what the game was like.

If you are interested try searching for "swordfight" on the World of Spectrum page. This should fetch up a playable copy of the game with a link which will allow you to play the game from within your web browser (using a Java applet).

There's also a GIF picture of the front and back of the cassette insert for the game as sold by Sunshine Publications.
