You list three ways to control bloat. Are you saying
that if none of these three are implemented, bloat
will just increase more and more, unchecked?
Is there no characteristic of natural evolution that
introduces an indirect parsimony pressure to slow or
stop the growth of genetic material? (Does the
fidelity of replication reduce as the amount of
genetic material increases, for example?)
Or in another few million years will most living
creatures have, say, twice as much genetic material
as they do today?
For that matter, by how much does the amount of bloat
vary in living creatures, and if it does, why does it
vary?
