Short Biography

I received the Master degree in computer science from Roma Tre University, Rome, Italy, in 2008. After a successful defense of my thesis Governing Routing in the Evolving Internet, I also obtained the PhD degree from Roma Tre University in April 2012. After a short period as research fellow at Consortium GARR, I have been a post-doc at the Universite catholique de Louvain (Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium) and a research associate of the Belgian fund for scientific research (F.R.S.-FNRS), for 4 years. I am with University College London since October 2016. My research interests span network management, routing, measurements and Software Defined Networking (SDN). On those topics, I have published more than 20 articles at top conferences and journals, including the ICNP 2013 and SIGCOMM 2015 best papers.

  • INFOCOM 2016 Best Paper award runner-up for the paper FLIP: Fast LIghtweigth Policy-preserving SDN Updates

  • IRTF Applied Network Research Prize 2016 for the paper Central Control over Distributed Routing

  • SIGCOMM 2015 best paper award for the paper Central Control over Distributed Routing

  • ICNP 2013 Best Paper award for the paper Using Routers to Build Logic Circuits: How Powerful is BGP?

  • IRTF Applied Network Research Prize 2013 for the paper Ismproving Network Agility with Seamless BGP Reconfigurations

  • Premio Santini 2008 Award for my Master thesis Application of Software Engineering Methodologies to Computer Networks: Design Patterns and Testing.
