MSc Projects: Hand-in Deadline

The deadline for MSc 2005-06 students is

This is an absolute deadline. Extensions are only permitted in the most serious circumstances, such as illness or bereavement. If you think you will need an extension, talk to your supervisor as soon as possible, but note that extensions cannot be given by your supervisor, or by the Projects Organiser (MH), but only by the Head of Department.

On hand-in day (or before) you need to bring in

• Two unbound copies of your project. Make sure that all the pages are in the right order, that everything is included, and that all the format requirements have been obeyed.

• Two copies of any CDs you are including with the report. Please provide some means of securely attaching these to the inside covers of the report copies when they are bound, and label each disk or CD you submit with your own name.

• Two copies of a one-page abstract (descriptive summary) of your project. These should be headed by the project title, your own name and that of your supervisor(s).

• Send one electronic copy in .pdf format via e-mail to t.williams@cs.ucl.ac.uk (.pdf format only please).

Students should bring the above materials to JJ and Patricia at 5th Floor Reception.

JJ or Patricia will give you two forms to fill in: 'Life after the MSc' and a 'Project Assessment' form (your own opinions on the experience of doing a project, to help us improve procedures for future students). You must fill these in before you leave.
