Download Orbiter 2015

Download and install

Automatic installer (recommended for general users)

Download MSI installer

Download the MSI installer file and run it. This will guide you through the installation process and install Orbiter like a standard Windows application. It generates a desktop button, and provides an uninstall option, but it doesn't support multiple installs.

Manual installer (recommended for advanced users)

Download ZIP installer

Download the ZIP archive file and unpack it into a directory of your choice. Manual installation is less restrictive (you can install multiple versions of Orbiter) and less intrusive (it does not modify the Windows registry or system files),

Requirements

To run Orbiter, you need a Windows PC with at least 4GB of memory. The basic installation requires about 10GB of space on the hard disk, but additional texture packs can take up significantly more space. A fast graphics card is recommended. Orbiter can be controlled via the keyboard, but a joystick is useful for atmospheric flight.

Terms of use

Orbiter is free for noncommericial and educational use - but donations are always welcome. Please make sure to read the Terms of Use before downloading the software. For commercial applications, please contact the author.

Extensions and addons

In addition to the basic installation, you can download addon and texture packages that enhance the Orbiter experience.
