Master Research in Computer Vision, Image Processing and Simulation | |
|
This is a demanding one year course run by University College London which aims to prepare students with the mathematical and technical knowledge to pursue a successful career in Computer Vision, Image Processing, Graphics and Simulation. Overview My Research Project, which received a distinction, was called "Modelling Clothed People". This presents a surface reconstruction technique that combines modelling techniques and robust statistics to fit a model of a piece of clothing into a set of data points of a range scanner. This technique is able to deal with the difficult problems in surface reconstructions such as: missing data, noise, presence of uneven surfaces and variable shapes. Links: Bernard Buxton: My supervisor. Ioannis Douros : One of my collegues at UCL with whom I have been working closely, interesting links and images.
