I am a PhD student in the computing science department of University
College London. The area of my research is the reconstruction methods
in Optical Diffusion Tomography.
Optical diffusion tomography returns low resolution results due to high
scattering and attenuation levels of the photons (near infra red light)
when they travel through human
tissue. The ultimate goal of my research is to increase the resolution
level by introducing priori information through a registration process.
By registering optical tomography volumes
against high resolution statistical models (such as a probabilistic
atlases), I will attempt to introduce priori information to the
reconstuction problem and hopefuly increase the spatial
resolution of the reconstructed images.
