Mobile Urban Pollution: Prototype Three

Rucksack Mounting |
Jacket Mounting
These are 3rd, 4th, etc. prototypes. They are alternative logging
devices for particular needs.
The tea-tray pollution monitor is stable and
is being used in various trials. However for the commuter trials it
has been found to be inconvenient solely for the reason that the tray
is fiddly to mount on a bike securely. We have built devices that can
be carried on the outside of a cyclist's rucksack.
This removes the rechargable GPS component. This was also slightly
fiddly to operate. The downside is that the overall battery lifetime
of the logger will be lower.
We were using the SysOnChip CF GPS
unit (< Order
Here), but it seems to have a non-standard MMCX connector.
The software is exactly the same as
proto2 and will remain the same.
