Point 1
Manish suggests that IP Multicast Chapter 12 is the most relevant. Julian also recommends Chapter 8 since Unicast is also an important area of the project.
MengHow is the most competent C programmer.
Discussion was given to the way in which GRA and PGM fit together. It was found slightly worrying that no mention was made of GRA in the PGM specification. It was also noted that the GRA specification seems to just define a concept and is really quiet vague.
Point 3
Question for Jon should we be implementing a DLR?
It was noted that NAK’s only originate at the receivers but are propagated by the NEs.
Time needs to be spent examining what happens when a network break and retransmission and it was suggested Julian examine this.

MengHow
Strength: C and device driver work. OO design. Product development, software development cycles.
Weakness: Unix , requests a partner. Unix architecture design weakness

Strengths: Protocols, Routing, Multicast from a high level perspective. Interest in system architecture. High level design
