  • Often auxiliary processors in routers/switches

• Security/reliability impose constraints

  • Integrity and limited capability of mobile code

• Protection of infrastructure constraints

  • Should nodes see packet headers?
  • Packet headers may carry integrity & authentic
  • Must be considered, may impact deployability
