British Chapter of the ISMRM

General Information

Welcome to the British Chapter of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine. The creation of the British Chapter was formally approved by the Board of Trustees of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine on 19 September 1994.  Our main activity is the organisation of scientific meetings. In January 2009 a New Initiative Fund was created, please see the information at the botttom of this page.

Scientific Meetings organised by the BC-ISMRM

New Initiative Fund

Applications are invited from Full Members for funding to support the hosting of national educational or research meetings on subjects of interest to the British Chapter. The funding is intended to facilitate initiatives that will lead to new activity in the magnetic resonance field.
Examples would include a specialist study group or an advanced training course. Applications for up to £2000 will be considered although it is expected that most will be for substantially smaller amounts. Applications should describe the proposed activity and its relevance to the British Chapter ISMRM, and include costings. Please send applications to the Secretary Prof Geoff Parker (geoff.parker@manchester.ac.uk). Applications will be assessed by the committee, and successful applicants will be expected to produce a brief report of the activity.
