NAME
double2txt - Converts big-endian binary double data to text.
SYNOPSIS
double2txt [decimal_places ] [-linenum ] [-components <N >]
DESCRIPTION
Reads big-endian binary double precision floating point data from the standard input and
outputs each double as text in scientific notation with six decimal places by default,
although the number of decimal places can be specified, optionally, as the first command
line argument.
EXAMPLES
Output as text the doubles stored as binary data in test.Bdouble:
cat test.Bdouble | double2txt
The output has the form:
5.500000E01
-1.003820E-01
-1.230454E01
-1.447965E01
4.998373E00
:
Specify 8 decimal places rather than the default 6:
cat test.Bdouble | double2txt 8
The output has the form:
5.50000000E01
-1.00381965E-01
-1.23045428E01
-1.44796451E01
4.99837343E00
:
OPTIONS
The first option is a single integer for the number of decimal places in the output. It
is required if other options are specified.
-linenum
Print line numbers in output.
-components <N >
Assume output is voxel data with N components. Output will be annotated with voxel
number and component number.
