Dallison Equipment: ---------- Cisco: Logical estimated ship date for the Cisco equipment as 6th November 2002. It has been confirmed that the copper GE cards are supported on the Cisco 7600. Extension of loan equipment: Mike Mckeown has confirmed that he is happy to extend the loan of the Cisco equipment for MB-NG, however he would like to know the length of the loan. We have asked up to one month after the 7600s have arrived. SJ4 Development Network: Work is continuing to get the circuits commissioned and it is hoped to be up and ready by end of October 2002. Gantt Chart: ------------- Task 2: Traffic generation and measurement definition and software. -------- Task 2 group had a meeting on the 9th October 2002. Another meeting is scheduled for the 25th October to pull together the task 2 work. Task 3: Traffic generation and measurement (equipment provision) -------- Task 4: Produce security policy -------- Task 5: Classification/policies/policing for QoS -------- Task 6: Lab based network equipment configuration -------- The Cisco express forwarding issue has resulted in a IOS which works better. Measurements on the 7200s show 75% bandwidth restriction. This issue will be raised with Cisco. Task 7: e2e Network equipment configuration -------- ACTION: Robin Tasker will speak to Mike Allenby about progress on this task. Task 8: QoS Experimental measurements -------- Task 9: Managed bandwidth service -------- Task 10: Plan extension of demonstrations to sites in Europe and US -------- ACTION: Peter Clarke will speak to Internet 2 people next week. Task 11: The deployment and integration of the Middleware and APIs (GARA) -------- ACTION: A presentation will be given on the available solutions before the plenary meeting on the 1st November. Task 12: High throughput programme -------- ACTION: S. Dallison will talk to Richard Hughes-Jones about how to progress with this task. AOB ---- Access to the play-pen has not been possible on a number of occasions.
