next meeting will be on Friday July 12 2002 because there is a task 2
workshop which had to be scheduled on the 28th June to allow key
participants to attend.

MB-NG operational meeting
Date: Friday 14th June 2002

Present: UCL:- F. Saka, A. Di Donato, N. Simpson, P. Mealor
         UKERNA:- R. Samani.
         Manchester:- G. Fairey, S. Dallason.


Task 1. Ongoing.

Task 2. Ongoing.
     Incorporation of GGF terminology in the metrics document.
     Section on background traffic also being written.

Tasks 3. Equipment provision.
     Loan equipment has been ordered and should be here in ten days.

     The development network should be available by the end of July/
     beginning of August.  This is due to the delay of the 15454
     multiplexer and other bits of equipment.
     Interfaces from production network will be moved into the
     development network as the production network is upgraded to 10
     Gbit/s.


     Loan equipment signed by P. Clarke.
     ACTION I. Bridge will contact Harvey Lang (CISCO) to confirm
     shipping date.

Spirent.
Joining advanced test program. Meeting with program director on the
26th June. Peter gave a presentation on the 12th June to U.P. UK sales
manager. Expect deal to be closed by 26th June.

All hands meeting demo/presentation
  We will NOT attempt any clever demo for Sheffield.  The most we
  should do it show any pre-recorded demo we can do based upon the
  7200, but ONLY if this fits in which what had been done by end July.

R. Hughes-Jones mentioned a previously that he would like to use the
development network for a demonstration in the September Astronomy
conference.

ACTION: I. Bridge will talk to R. Hughes-Jones if he still wants to do
the demonstration.
